Yes, it’s a real building

Look for the five big letters. Your frames go in under them in boxes and come out as bikes.

From your brand to your customers

We do two things today: we store your parts, and we build your bikes to order. Receiving the parts and shipping the bikes come with them.

Built to order

  1. 01Receive

Your framesets, wheels, groupsets and cockpits arrive by pallet or container. We count every box against your packing list.

  2. 02Store

Each part gets a shelf and a SKU in our stock room in Montpellier, and the count stays up to date as bikes go out.

  3. 03Build

When a customer orders, a mechanic builds the bike to their spec: frame size, groupset, wheels, cockpit, bar tape.

  4. 04Ship

Every bike is checked before it leaves. We pack it and send it to your customer, to a dealer or back to you.

Fast delivery to riders across Europe

We are also a fulfilment centre for your brand. Keep wheelsets, groupsets, cockpits and spare parts on our shelves, and we ship each order to your customer as it is, the same way we ship your complete bikes.

  • Complete bikes, wheelsets and parts
  • Orders for riders and for dealers

Built here, wherever your brand is based

We work with bike brands from France, the rest of Europe, the United States and China. Each one comes with its own problem. Pick yours.

Send us your parts. We build your bikes.

Complete bikes made in China pay anti-dumping duty when they enter the EU, so most Chinese brands sell framesets only. Send us your framesets and parts, and we build each bike in Montpellier when your customer orders it.

Our paint booth opens in spring 2027. From then on, you will be able to send raw frames and we will paint them here before the build.

Lower your customs and anti-dumping costs in the EU

The EU charges anti-dumping duty on complete bikes made in China. Import your framesets and parts instead, and we build the complete bikes here, in Montpellier. For a brand selling in Europe, where the bike is built is one of the biggest levers on what it pays at the border.

Duties depend on where each part comes from, and EU rules also cover some essential bike parts made in China. We don’t give customs or tax advice: check your case with your customs broker.

Custom builds, not mass production

We are a factory for high-end bikes, built one at a time for riders who chose every part. We are not a production line.

We are a good fit if

  • You sell performance bikes: road, gravel, mountain or track.
  • Your customers choose their frame size, groupset, wheels or cockpit.
  • You sell framesets and need them built into complete bikes in Europe.
  • You want a mechanic to check every bike before it ships.

We are not the right factory if

  • You need thousands of identical bikes off a production line.
  • Your bikes are sold on the lowest price per unit.
  • You need frames painted, machined or 3D-printed today. That comes later.

We build a few bikes well rather than many bikes fast. That is why every quote starts with a call.

A factory inside a cycling hub

MAAKE brings several cycling businesses under one roof in Montpellier, and the factory is one of them. Your bikes are built next to a bike shop, a stock room, a photo studio and a lab.

  • A mechanic fits the rear wheel of a white carbon road bike held in the workshop stand.

    Assembly line

The stands where your bikes are built. The same mechanics service riders’ bikes for the shop.

  • An aisle of the stock room, with boxed frames stacked on the shelves.

    Stock room

Around €1M of bikes, frames and parts on the shelves. Your parts get their own SKUs next to them.

  • A BMX rider flips over a ramp on the shop floor, in front of the Reset BMX wall and the MAAKE counter.

    Shop floor

A bike shop open to the public, on the same floor: road, gravel, steel, carbon and titanium.

  • A titanium road bike on the white backdrop of the photo studio, between softboxes, with the camera and the laptop in front.

    Photo studio

Product photos of your bikes can be shot here, a few metres from the stand they were built on.

  • Lab

3D modelling, 3D-printed prototypes and laser engraving. Titanium frames are anodised here too.

Under the same roof

Our strength

  • Shared stock and workshopThe shop, CYKL and the factory share one stock room, one workshop and its mechanics. The rent, the tools and the stands are split between several businesses.
  • Work passes from desk to deskMAAKE Agency builds your configurator, the factory builds the bike your customer configured, and the studio can shoot it. No hand-off between suppliers in three cities.
  • Riders in the buildingThe shop and Studio Bike Fit see riders every day, and CYKL sells straight to them. We hear first hand what riders think of a fit, a part or a build, and we pass it on to you.

Your marketing, from the same building

MAAKE Agency is the group’s ecommerce and marketing branch, and it works from the hub too. It builds Shopify stores and bike configurators for bike brands, then runs their marketing month by month.

A configurator on your store lets customers pick their frame size, groupset and wheels. The order reaches us as a build spec, we build the bike, and it ships. One group runs the whole loop, from the product page to the rider.

maakeagency.com builds the store. We build the bikes.
